Last week we told you why we think everyone should be using DocLanding Sync. This week, we wanted to focus on DocLanding Desktop.
There are a lot of great features that come with DocLanding Desktop, like drag and drop uploads and image editing, but we have two that we use on a daily basis that we wanted to highlight today.
Just last week we released the DocLanding Sync beta.
You may have seen the email and thought: What is sync? and What can it do for me?
We’d like to clear that up for you today.
Living and breathing cloud document management every day you can’t help to get a tad myopic – doesn’t everybody do this? Apparently not.
Sync Has Landed!
Let’s face it, we all have more digital files than we know what to do with.
If you are anything like us, you find yourself away from your desk, using a couple of different computers and an iPhone on a regular basis. Inevitably, you need a document you just haven’t had the chance to upload into DocLanding yet – like the password spreadsheet that you have at home, or the operating plan from work.
We know, it happens.
Spam, not the stuff that comes in a can, but the kind that finds its way to your inbox everyday, is a major hassle, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, it’s not going away and we realize that it can create a bit of conundrum when you use DocLanding for sharing.
Our focus these last two weeks has been all about going paperless. You may be thinking, “That’s great and all but HOW do we go paperless? I have a ton of paper.. what’s the easiest way to make it digital?”
We’ve all heard it, the sarcastic laugh when someone says we should take our office paperless. “Ha,” they say.. “there is no such thing as paperless! Look at this wall of filing cabinets and tell me we can be paperless. It can’t be done!”
We moved our offices recently. Moving is never a simple task and moving offices typically involves some pretty intense coordination to get services transferred, servers set up and phones ready to roll with minimal downtime. And most offices have a pretty extensive filing cabinet fleet to move as well.
Here at DocLanding we have worked hard to get rid of our filing cabinet fleet and are proud to say that we are paperless.
